Gaya Tofu in Torrance is a hidden gem for Korean food lovers, especially if you're craving authentic, comforting tofu dishes. Their soon tofu stews are rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices that bring out the depth of the broth. The banchan (side dishes) are fresh and plentiful, complementing the main courses beautifully. Service is warm and attentive, and portions are generous, making it a great spot for a hearty meal. The casual, no-frills setting adds to its charm. Gaya Tofu is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and in the mood for a true taste of Korean cuisine.

The restaurant is located on the corner of a small plaza near Anza and Torrance Blvd. Parking is tight but with enough spaces. The restaurant is quite big with seating for more 80 people. Inside is clean and bright with nice high ceiling. The waiter was nice and took our order right away. I ordered the traditional tofu soup pot and seafood pancake. The tofu hot pot was served within 15 minutes and it came with free side dishes (kimchi, potato salad, bean sprouts etc). They were all pretty good and went well with the tofu pot. The seafood pancake was great. It was of pretty big size (probably 12 inches and enough for 2 to 3 people), moisture and fluffy with layers of onion, green onion, and seafood. Highly recommended and a great restaurant option if you like Korean food.

This is my husband and I's go to Korean place, when we simply don't know what we want or just craving something quick! It's the Korean place we've frequented the most. If you want REALLY GOOD 냉면 (cold noodles) you go to Old Time Noodle House, if you want REALLY GOOD 순두부 (sundubu), you go to Lee's Tofu or BCD according to some and so on. But Gaya you go to when you just want something homey + it's more on the affordable side! We typically get the bibimbab+sundubu combination! Or if one of us are coming down with a cold we go for the Ox bone soup or Ginseng Chicken Soup! Both highly recommended! It seems to be a family owned business owned and run by a couple who seems to be working there everyday! (Go small family owned businesses!) I love how a lot of Korean places offers either cold water or hot tea, we typically opt for hot tea. Order is taken pretty quickly and not much of a wait time for food, which is one of the reasons we love coming here! Food is homey and good and there banchan (side dishes) are decent! They seem to be switching them out often, we typically greeted with some different ones each time we visit! Overall, if you craving the best of best of a specific dish, go somewhere where they specialize in it, but if you just want good homemade Korean dishes, with quick and good service Gaya is for you!

new addiction? Today was the second time I come here for lunch. Last week, during the LA heat wave, I just had to get me some mul-naengmyeon + Galbi combo. Today I had the bulgogi + bibim naengmyun combo. Both visits were fantastic. great food, great service. oh, I really like their assortment of banchan. I think I'll get the soondae guk.

This to me is my local Korean spot. Their menu has just the right items, tastes authentic, and their service is good. It's usually the owners, husband and wife plus one other. So when it gets busy, they are rushing around. I still feel like they take pretty good care of us even when it's crowded. Pan Chan is generous and good. I think they rotate items too. My go to: Kalbi is generous helping Soon tofu is fair priced and good They have rice options too I love their cold noodles Spicey noodle soups is amazing I go there so much I don't take pictures. I will add next time! Reliable and good.

Second time coming for the lunch specials. I've driven by a number of times and after reading Yelp reviews we gave them a try. I enjoy their kalbi lunch box, which includes green salad, 2 egg rolls, and a few pieces of California roll. The kalbi is very tender and flavorful, and enough of a portion for lunch. The spicy pork is also delicious. Other Kim chee sides are not included when ordering the lunch boxes. The restaurant has nice comfortable booths and the layout is spacious. I read that the restroom was spotless and had to check it out for myself. The yelper who wrote that comment was right! Restaurant seems to be family owned and service is quick and efficient. Glad we found it and definitely recommend them.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Pork Neck-Bone Soup (#1 in Stew & Soup) and a Mushroom(n) + Beef Tofu Soup. Both soups were flavorful and the pork neck-bone soup was very generous in protein. The sides were delicious and they provided complimentary purple rice! Ambiance: 5/5 - large spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. The side door is locked so you do have to walk to the front of the restaurant to walk in. About 6-7 parties walked up the side door and looked extremely confused that there were people inside but they couldn't walk in. Service: 5/5 - we came for an early dinner before the crowd came and service was very quick! Value for price: 5/5 - delicious food, quick service, and a very comfortable feel in the restaurant.
